ELGIN PUBLIC MUSEUM

HISTORIC SIGNIFICANCE

The museum dates back to 1906 and was originally constructed to house George P. Lord's extensive collection of plant, animal and rock specimens. It remains a natural history museum today. In addition to the exhibits, the Museum holds several educational programs for both children and adults. If you have a chance, take a few minutes to look inside. We think you will be impressed by what we have here in Elgin!
