About 20 selected works from A Fox River Testimony, the collection of original Fox River paintings by artist Joel Sheesley will be on view until November 15th.

Joel partnered with The Conservation Foundation’s Fox River Initiative, an environmental education and outreach program about the Fox River and the Fox Valley. Art of the Fox is one of three key pillars for the Fox River Initiative, and was intended to broaden interest in the health of the Fox River by appealing to the river’s aesthetic value. Joel painted 90+ landscapes in two years travelling from West Dundee all the way down to Ottawa where the Fox joins the Illinois River.

The goal of the Art of the Fox project was to help people see the Fox River more deeply. The more they see their river, the more they will connect with it, enjoy it and help care for it. Thank you to the Conservation Foundation for helping organize this great exhibit!
