Bear, bison, elk, and even a lion are part of Elgin’s oldest and largest park’s history. Lord’s Park, donated by George and Mary Lord, has a special place in the lives and memories of many Elgin citizens. Over the last 3 summers over 30,000 people have come to enjoy the amenities of the Zoo and make new memories. Join the Friends of the Lords Park Zoo as they share information about the Zoo’s beginnings, how it has changed, stories of how the animals came to reside there and the antics of both animal and human.
