456 ADDISON STREET
HISTORIC SIGNIFICANCE
456 Addison was built in 1912 for William & Josephine Zander.
ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE
456 Addison Street is a nice example of a one-and-a-half story hipped roof bungalow with hipped dormers and Colonial Revival details. These can be found in the tapered Tuscan style columns that sit on a clapboard kneel wall. The home exhibits its original narrow clapboard siding with mitered corners and original trim and crown molding. Uniquely, the proportions of this bungalow are taller than what is typical with the inclusion of a freizeboard that wraps around the house above the front porch. Modifications include the addition of handrails at the porch stairs and the replacement of the front door.
