Each year, the House Tour features a different historic neighborhood of Elgin. In 2017 GPA will be featuring the near west side of Elgin.

The Annual Historic Elgin House Tour is an educational event that offers something for everyone. There’s architecture, history, home remodeling, interior decorating, gardening and more. The interior tours of the homes are guided and interpreted. The houses can be toured in any order. If you participate, wear comfortable shoes and allow yourself the full day to see all of the homes.

Advance Tickets are available at advance locations, by mail and online at a reduced rate of $21. Tickets are also available at registration at the Highland Avenue Church of the Brethren at 783 W. Highland Avenue.   Tickets at this location are the day of the tour only.  Registration is from 8:30 to 3:00 on Saturday with the tour going from 9:00 to 4:00. On Sunday registration will be from 9:30 to 3:00 with the tour going from 10:00 to 4:00. Advance tickets are $20 and day of the tour are $25. Twelve years and under and over 65 are $15 in advance and the day of the Tour. Cash and checks only are accepted at registration – sorry, no credit cards.
